My name is Steve Vai.

I’m a computer programmer based in Derby, but I’d be the first to admit that I spend most of my time online. I’m fascinated by technology and love reading about the latest developments in online gaming and gadgets – I’d be totally lost without my iPhone. If you ask me, Apple is the greatest company in the world!

Away from the computer, I’ve always loved fast cars and my dream is to one day have my very own Ferrari. What really interests me about motoring is learning exactly how these turbocharged machines work. Engineering is something of a hobby of mine, although I don’t claim to be an expert by any means.

I’m also very close to my family – my mum in particular. I’ve got friends too, obviously, but since I don’t drink, we tend to stay in and watch DVDs, play games or go for a Chinese rather than braving Derby city centre on a Saturday night. Hey, it might not be very rock ‘n’ roll but I like it.
